November General Meeting Information

The TPNA Holiday Party was a success! The food pantry will be receiving plenty thanks to all the guests who brought canned goods.

I was late for the meeting, having attended a Thanksgiving performance by the SJA Second Graders, which included my son. As I arrived I heard mentions of a new position at second district. Not sure of the specifics, but when I am I will post.

The TPNA, with the leadership of Mike Sorth, has created a Mission Statement for the Association, with values and goals for their neighborhood. It is an enormous demonstration of their commitment to maintaining a strong and viable neighborhood in which to live.

There were several nominations for the next TPNA board elections. We heard from Kathleen Hanrahan, who is not seeking reelection in the spring. And we were also informed that the next general meeting would hold a forum for the potential candidates for alderman. Please attend this meeting if possible so that you are educated about the candidates when you go to the polls.

This meeting was well attended and I enjoyed mingling with the many guests. What a great place to meet great neighbors!
